Sam Cox Thursday the 19th
Formed in 2012, Immediately following high school graduation, 17
year old Sam Cox formed Sam Cox Band and has since released 4 albums
and played well over 1000 shows all over the United States.
Sam Cox has performed and worked with artists such as Brandon
Jenkins, Mike McClure, Trace Adkins, Joe Nichols, JB and the
Moonshine Band, Micky and the Motorcars, and members of Reckless
Kelly and Turnpike Troubadours.
Between the years of 2016 and 2019, Sam toured with and co-fronted
the band Ragland. Along with 4 albums, Ragland achieved 3
Top 40 hits on the Texas/Red Dirt Charts (TRRR)
and was nominated for “Duo/Group” of the year for the TRRR Music
Awards in 2019.
In 2020, Sam Cox Band started to release bits and pieces of the 4th
studio record "The
Lost Years."
The full album was finally released in February of 2021. Since the
release of it's first single in late summer of 2021, 2 of the tracks
from the new record have reached the Top 100 of the Texas/Red Dirt
Charts, TRRR Charts, CDX (Nashville) and Texas Music Pickers Spotify
Charts.
"Losing Someone" managed to peak at #51 on the Texas Regional Radio Report while the sophomore single "Make a Livin" is still working its way up the charts.
